STEP 1 - SIGN UP FOR UCI DUO & GO

You can sign up for UCI DUO & GO here on the DUO website.

STEP 2 - CHECK NEW APPLICANT PORTAL AND SUBMIT ANY MISSING DOCUMENTS TO THE  OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS.

This includes submission of all Advanced Placement (AP) test scores.

STEP 3 - COMPLETE CANVAS ADVISING/REGISTRATION MODULES

UCI Canvas is an online tool used by faculty/staff to help manage courses, and you will likely use this tool for all your courses.

UCI Canvas will also be used for you to complete the online advising process.

There are a total of seven Canvas modules that you need to complete as part of Step 3. This will take you approximately 3-4 hours in length to get through all modules. Students are responsible for all information covered and are expected to complete all modules before progressing to Step 4.

You will receive a separate course invitation email from UCI Canvas inviting you to start the modules, and will need to login with your UCInetID and password.

STEP 4 - SEND EMAIL TO PHYSICAL SCIENCES STUDENT AFFAIRS.

Once you've completed Steps 1-3, you'll need to send an email to pssazot@uci.edu indicating you are ready to begin enrolling into classes for Fall quarter.

You MUST attach copies of ALL your AP, IB, SAT, or A-LEVEL test scores, if you have any, to the email.

Please follow the email format provided below. You will not be approved if you do not follow this format, which could delay your ability to enroll.

Email Subject: Online Advising Approval

Dear Physical Sciences Student Affairs,

I am a new freshman student approved to complete Online Academic Advising.

I have attached ALL Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), SAT, and A-level Exam scores that I have completed to this email. I understand that withholding any scores from the School of Physical Sciences could be viewed as falsifying important information about my record in a dishonest way, and could lead to dishonesty sanctions, including dismissal from the university.

I confirm that I have watched the online advising presentation and am ready to proceed with enrolling in classes.

My UCI Student Identification # is (INSERT YOUR NUMBER).

STEP 5 - ONCE APPROVED - YOU SHOULD ENROLL IN CLASSES PROMPTLY.

You will receive an email response from pssazot@uci.edu confirming you are cleared for enrollment within 7-10 days. This email response will tell you the specific courses you should enroll into for Fall quarter. Please do not send multiple emails requesting clearance; we have many students and will be responding to emails in the order they are received.

Once you are cleared to enroll, you will then go to WebReg and enroll in classes.
