A Conversation about Anti-Asian Discrimination: Reflections on how it is impacting us and what we can do to stop

Dr. Phong Luong, Graduate Division Counselor, will moderate the discussion

Thursday, Mar 25, 4-5PM

The Asian and Asian-American community in our country has been experiencing concerning growing violence and discrimination during COVID-19. Anti-Asian discrimination has deep historical roots, and has been occurring as early and the 1800’s. The School of Physical Sciences is hosting this Town Hall to provide a venue for our community (students, post-docs, researchers, faculty, and staff) to discuss recent events and the Asian and Asian-American discrimination at large, to share how these events are impacting our lives and to discuss what we can do at the department, school and campus to raise awareness, foster cultural change, and create a community that is supportive for all. Please, mark your calendars and join us for this important discussion. Zoom link information will be shared prior to the meeting.
