Online Academic Advising for Physical Sciences Transfer Students

STEP 1 - SIGN UP FOR UCI DUO & GO

You can sign up for UCI DUO & GO here on the DUO website.

STEP 2 - CHECK NEW APPLICANT PORTAL AND SUBMIT ANY MISSING DOCUMENTS TO THE  OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS.

This includes submission of all Advanced Placement (AP) test scores and transcripts. The deadline to submit transcripts to UCI Admissions is July 1st; you can move onto Step 3 before this deadline, as long as you have scheduled to have your transcripts delivered by this date.

STEP 3 - SUBMIT YOUR ACADEMIC COURSE HISTORY FORM.

This is a very important step to get cleared to enroll into classes for Fall quarter. If you have not already done so, you MUST submit this before proceeding to the next step.

STEP 4 - COMPLETE ONLINE CANVAS COURSE AND REVIEW ATTACHMENTS BELOW.

Complete all modules of the online Canvas Transfer Academic Advising course. Take notes, and pay close attention to the information covered. Students are responsible for all the information covered in this course. You will have access to this course in the future should you need to reference. Feel free to stop, pause, or restart the course if necessary. Some of the modules will include a video presentation - Be sure to review all links and turn up the volume on your computer before you start to hear the presentation clearly. (Please note: Some sections of the video presentations were previously recorded, but the information covered is still current)

STEP 6 - SEND EMAIL TO PHYSICAL SCIENCES STUDENT AFFAIRS. 

Once you have reviewed the online advising presentation and specific information page for your major, you will need to send an email to pssazot@uci.edu confirming you are ready to proceed with enrollment.

Please follow the email format provided below when you send this email. Your academic hold will not be removed and you will not be eligible to enroll into classes unless this is submitted.

Email Title: Online Advising for New Transfer Student

Dear Physical Sciences Student Affairs,

I am a new transfer student approved to complete Online Academic Advising. This email confirms that I have reviewed all canvas modules and have reviewed the information page for my major. I am now ready to enroll.

My UCI Student Identification # is (INSERT YOUR NUMBER).

STEP 7 - ONCE YOUR EMAIL IS RECEIVED - YOU WILL BE EMAILED WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS AND CLEARED TO ENROLL.

You will receive an email response from pssazot@uci.edu with an update within 2-3 business days. You will then go to WebReg and enroll in your classes.
