Dr. Xin is Professor of Mathematics at UC Irvine. He received his Ph.D from Courant Institute, New York University, and his B.S from Peking University. His research interests include applied analysis, data analysis, and scientific computing. He is a Guggenheim fellow, and an inaugural fellow of the American Mathematical Society. He authored two Springer books, and is currently editor-in-chief of SIAM Journal Multiscale Modeling & Simulation.
