Jack Xin elected to National Academy of Artificial Intelligence

Jack Xin, Chancellor’s Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine, has been elected a member of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI). The NAAI is committed to advancing the field of artificial intelligence through research, education, policy, and public engagement. Xin, a leading expert in applied analysis and computational methods with applications in multi-scale modeling, data science, and AI, joins a distinguished group of international scholars and practitioners recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to AI. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and previously held faculty roles at the University of Arizona and the University of Texas at Austin. Xin is a fellow of the American Mathematical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
