- Professional Conduct: Graduate students are a part of the UC Irvine professional workplace. Graduate students are stepping into a setting where professional conduct is a foundation of the workplace, such as following regulations like Title IX. In addition, each department has expectations of professional conduct, typically shown in the departmental graduate student handbook. An example of a professional conduct standard can be seen at the bottom of this webpage and a copy of this standard is available at: School of Physical Sciences Statement of Professional Conduct.
Everyone has the right to be free from discrimination, unlawful harassment, sexual misconduct and violence. Students and employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others.
Please review the Title IX flyer for the responsibilities, rights and remedies for discrimination and conduct.
