As an Environmental Science and Policy transfer student, you have a select number of major courses you can choose from in the fall.

Students who have not completed one year of General Chemistry should enroll in ESS 40A or Chem 1A in the Fall. ENSP majors need either one year of general chemistry or ESS 40A. Most transfer students elect to take ESS 40A. If you have taken one semester of G-Chem already (credit for Chem 1A & 1LD), then you have some options. You can complete the remainder of the G-Chem series by taking Chem 1B (Winter) and Chem 1C-LC (Spring), or you can take ESS 40A in the Fall.

ALL ENSP transfer students are ready to take ESS 45, a New Student seminar. This is a a1-unit class that you will very much enjoy. Sign up right away!  Description: Weekly meetings lef by faculty, current students, and staff, to provide information on the Department of Earth System Science, campus resources, and special programs and opportunities. Designed for students who recently joined the ENSP major.

ALL ENSP transfer students are ready to take ESS 192, a Careers seminar. This is a 1-unit class that you will very much enjoy. If it's full don't worry, take it when you can, but don't forget to take it becasue it's an awesome class, and it's required.

* ENSP transfer students must complete Social Ecology 10 by the end of the Winter quarter of their first year at UCI. This is a good class to take in your first quarter.

 * ENSP transfer students must also complete UPPP 8. This is a good class to take in your first quarter.

* Other course options for the Fall include: Upper-Division (courses numbered 100 and above) UPPP courses. We recommend UPPP 145: Environmental Governance or UPPP 146: Principles of Economics for Planning and Policy.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The ENSP major has many options for fulling the different elective categories. Please see the degree checksheet for the requirements here, http://ps.uci.edu/stuaff/current/degrees.
