Career Path: 

Peter Babilo is a materials and process engineer supporting Boeing’s space division. He holds a Ph.D. in Material Science from the California Institute of Technology specializing in synthesis and characterization of ion conducting oxides. In 2007, Peter joined The Boeing Company and has focused on new materials development (thermal control and ESD coatings, paints, conformal coating, adhesives, prepregs) as technology enablers for Boeing’s spacecrafts. In addition to space, Peter is frequently called on to support and lead projects for military aircraft, rotorcraft, and commercial aircrafts.
