Visitor Nights

Since 1999, the UCI Observatory has been a great friend of the Southern California community offering popular lectures and star-gazing opportunities during Visitor Nights at the UCI Observatory, where individuals and families can discover the universe. The UCI Observatory is a fabulous setting for learning and engagement and allows UC Irvine, as a public university, to fulfill a part of its mission to share important research and new discoveries with the public. Visitor Nights are offered on Saturday nights approximately 6 times per year and additionally when targets of opportunity occur during meteor showers or solar/lunar eclipses.

Thank you to all our Friends of the UCI Observatory for the financial support which enables the UCI Observatory to provide Visitor Nights and activities to the community.
