Visitor Nights
Since 1999, the UCI Observatory has been a great friend of the Southern California community offering popular lectures and star-gazing opportunities during Visitor Nights at the UCI Observatory, where individuals and families can discover the universe. The UCI Observatory is a fabulous setting for learning and engagement and allows UC Irvine, as a public university, to fulfill a part of its mission to share important research and new discoveries with the public. Visitor Nights are offered on Saturday nights approximately 6 times per year and additionally when targets of opportunity occur during meteor showers or solar/lunar eclipses.
Thank you to all our Friends of the UCI Observatory for the financial support which enables the UCI Observatory to provide Visitor Nights and activities to the community. If you would like to learn more about becoming a Friend of the UCI Observatory, click here, or you may make a donation online through our e-giving website at http://www.uadv.uci.edu/UCIObservatory or by mail with the UCI Observatory Pledge Form.
