Biography and Research: 

Elizabeth D. Crook is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Earth System Science at UC Irvine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, obtained a Masters in Education from Pace University, and received a PhD in biogeochemistry from UC Santa Cruz. Her primary research focuses on the impacts of ocean acidification on coral reef ecosystems. Elizabeth is also interested in the field of geoscience education, and works with undergraduate students interested in pursuing research units in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

In addition to teaching, Elizabeth also serves as the Director of the Irvine division of the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS UCI).
