Biography and Research: 

Professor Isaac Goldbring uses techniques from logic, specifically model theory, to make contributions to other areas of mathematics such as operator algebras, combinatorial number theory, and Lie theory.  Prior coming to UC Irvine, Professor Goldbring was an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was a Hedrick Assistant Adjunct Professor at UCLA.  Professor Goldbring also holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Sciences.
