Career Path:

I have held several clinical and managerial positions as a pharmacist. After graduating from UCI I attended pharmacy school at UOP, then completed residency training at UCSF. I returned to Southern California as Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at a hospital in La Habra. I held that position for 10 years before transitioning to Director of Pharmacy at the same institution. Health care was undergoing significant changes when I became Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy at St. Jude Heritage Healthcare in Fullerton. I accepted a position at Kaiser Permanente in 2001, where I am currently employed. As Project Manager for KP's electronic health record, I evaluate clinical information and preconfigure software to optimize safe and effective ordering of medication therapies. I have an adjunct faculty appointment at Chapman University School of Pharmacy and have held clinical faculty appointments at UCSF and UOP.
