Title:
Patent Attorney
Company:
Omni Legal Group
Education:
BS Physics, BA Poli Sci, JD
Career Path:
As soon as I decided to go to law school, I fell immediately in to patent law. While I love it, I think of myself as more of an intellectual property generalist. This way, I get to enjoy projects dealing with all sorts of types of inventions as well as trademarks, copyrights, contracts and licensing, and even emerging issues in cyber law.
I got my current job very shortly after taking the bar exam in 2014 and have been here ever since.
Career Experience:
Legal
Personal Interests:
I didn't know many people when I moved up to LA from Orange County so I looked for group activities to do.
I picked up swing dancing and am now competing as part of a student dance team at this years Camp Hollywood swing dance/jitterbug conference. I also truly enjoy my solitary hobbies of sewing and quilting.
Type of Students:
A student considering alternatives to grad school. I had intended to continue my studies in some astro-related physics, but wondered whether years in labs were really what I wanted to be doing.

I'm new to mentoring, so I am not sure what kinds of mentoring relationships exist! I am available to meet up moreso on weekends, unless the mentee is interested in traveling up to LA for lunch.
