Career Path:

My primary experience and skill is in science education.  Whereas I got a PhD. in environmental chemistry and worked in research 6 years thereafter, I have made a far greater contribution in the sciences by teaching physics and chemistry in a public high school.   This is where we must convince the top young academic talent that the coolest, most enjoyable career they could have would be in the sciences, engineering, or a related technical field.  It's at the end of the high school junior year that a young person must choose their college major; they'll be sending off their applications the beginning of their senior year.   Physics and chemistry in the high school must not only prepare students for the tough competitive university environment, it must also be the most fun and enjoyable experience of a students high school career; otherwise you've lost them forever to another pursuit.  This is what I'm about.
