Professor Komarova’s interests lie in the interface between mathematical and life sciences. In her research, she formulate interesting questions in areas of biology, medical and social sciences and linguistics, in the language of mathematics. Using techniques of applied mathematics, she searches for answers to these questions. Her two main interests are modeling of cancer and evolution of language.
