Sasha Talebi is the founder and Managing Partner of Sequence Venture Group, an early-stage venture capital investment and advisory firm headquartered in Newport Beach, California.

Over the last two decades, Mr. Talebi has launched, led and funded businesses across a range of industries including ecommerce, wireless, mobile, enterprise software, financial services, clean energy, medical devices, social media, data analytics, and wearables/IoT. In conjunction with his work in the startup community, Mr. Talebi plays a critical role in technology transfer and commercialization of advanced science projects through his relationships with university research groups, private think tanks and academic institutions.

Prior to launching Sequence, he managed alternative investment portfolios of hedge funds of various strategies on behalf of multinational family offices and private banks.

Mr. Talebi serves as an expert-in-residence (EiR) for UC Irvine Applied Innovation and he sits on the boards of several venture-backed companies and non-profit organizations including MondoTunes, an online music and video distribution platform partnered with Universal Music Group (Interscope); VRS, a public-private partnership with the State of California’s Department of Motor Vehicles; and El Sol Science & Arts Academy, an inner city, dual-immersion charter school recently ranked number one in the State of California.

He is a lifetime member of the Surfrider Foundation dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans and beaches, and a longtime supporter of charity: water, a non-profit organization committed to bringing sustainable solutions for clean drinking water to Central and sub-Saharan Africa and developing nations.

Mr. Talebi is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he earned a bachelor of science degree with a specialization in astrophysics and an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Management.
