Matt Dickason

Chief Operating Officer

Matt Dickason is the Chief Operating Officer for ImmunogenX (subsidiary of Immunogenics, LLC), a privately-held, equity-funded company formed to address critical needs for individuals with suspected or diagnosed Celiac disease. The company’s research efforts are focused on therapy, disease management, and food safety.

Mr. Dickason is also founder of Renaissance Associates, a Southern California-based specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) providing clinical research and business consulting services to companies in the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries as well as individual or group physician investigators.
Prior to establishing Renaissance Associates, Mr. Dickason’s career spanned over 18 years in the specialty pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device fields.  He was employed at Allergan, Inc. where he held positions of increasing scope and responsibility in R&D  (Formulations Chemist, Clinical Research Manager and Project Manager) as well as Botox® Sales/Marketing (Medical Marketing Manager, Product/Brand Manager and Professional Sales Consultant).  As his experience demonstrates, Mr. Dickason is one of few biopharmaceutical professionals who has fashioned a unique career working at the interface of science and business.  This experience makes him distinctly qualified to address the clinical research and business strategy needs of today’s leading biopharmaceutical and medical device companies and individual physician investigators.

Mr. Dickason graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 1988.  He received his Masters in Business Administration, with honors, from the same institution in 1997. As a patent holding scientist and business executive, Mr. Dickason has participated in domestic and international conferences as a speaker on scientific, entrepreneurial, and marketing topics.  At his alma mater he co-founded the UCI Physical Sciences Mentor Program and enjoys counseling young people about career choices and opportunities.  Mr. Dickason is also a member of the UCI School of Physical Sciences Dean’s Leadership Council. He is a Southern California native and enjoys playing beach volleyball, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, sailing and music.
