| Many students who enter UCI as freshmen have strong interest and aptitude in mathematics and science but are uncertain about which major they should choose. These students may enter as Physical Sciences Undeclared. This option allows them to explore courses in the School of Physical Sciences and in other schools during their freshman and sophomore years. Students who enter as Physical Sciences Undeclared often go on to major in Chemistry, Math, Physics, or Earth and Environmental Sciences. In addition, these students may select majors in other schools, including Engineering, Information and Computer Science, and Biological Sciences. All students must have a declared major by the time they reach junior standing (90 units). |
