PHYSICAL SCIENCES Every year, we hire three students to work in the Student Affairs Office as Peer Academic Adviors (PAAs). PAA applications are due in January for the following school year. Peer Advisors work 10 hours per week during the year (summer work is optional) and training occurs during the Spring quarter. This is a paid position, PAAs are compensated for Spring training and hours worked in the Summer. Our PAAs manage a variety of the office's functions, including but not limited to: managing the front desk, counseling walk-in students, answering the phone, filing, forms processing and special projects throughout the year. PAAs are a very important aspect of the Physical Sciences Student Affairs Office. As students, PAAs can give great advice to fellow students on everything from how to get things done on campus, to recommendations on classes and Professors. If you are interested in working in our office, as a Peer Academic Advisor, and you meet the requirements below, please submit an application, available at http://www.due.uci.edu/paap/become.html. click here to see this year's Peer Academic Advisors |
