Reaching Out to Local Communities
Outreach programs serve the community by linking resources only available at institutions such as UCI to the community in an effort to share expertise, knowledge and resources. Janda Lab has a rich history of supporting local K-12 schools with programs that enable young students to solve real-world problems and collaborate with UCI faculty, students and staff to enhance the quality of public education in the surrounding communities. Additionally, Janda Lab has provided materials and resources to local schools so that they may continue to provide challenging hands-on labs and demonstrations to students.
Janda Lab has contributed to the further education of science teachers by opening their lab and facilities to middle and high school teachers as they research and create projects of their own design.
