Limited: Novel Science, Engineering, Medical Research

The W.M. Keck Foundation grant programs seek to benefit humanity by supporting high-risk/high-impact projects that are distinctive and novel in their approach to intractable problems, push the edge of their field, or question the prevailing paradigm. Two grant programs -- Science and Engineering, and Medical Research -- support pioneering science and research and the development of promising new technologies, and the purchase of advanced instruments. Medical Research projects should focus on basic rather than clinical research; projects conducted in hospitals are not eligible.

ELIGIBILITY: UCI may submit 1 Phase I proposal for each of these programs, facilitated through UCI's Keck liaison, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Jacob Levin.
