** My first choice was a major in the Physical Sciences, but I did not get my first choice major:
More than likely, you did not meet the admissions criteria for your first-choice major in the Physical Sciences. Changing your major into the Physical Sciences may be possible in the future, if you take the appropriate classes and get sufficient grades. Visit http://www.due.uci.edu/changemajor/ to find the criteria for changing your major. If you choose to pursue changing your major into the Physical Sciences, you must still speak with a counselor in your current major. You will be required to take classes for your current major in the event that you do not meet the Physical Sciences' change of major criteria. It is important to have a back-up plan. Once you and your current counselor have decided the best study plan for you, if you still want to take courses necessary for eventually changing into the Physical Sciences, you should speak with one of the Physical Sciences Academic Counselors. Please visit http://ps.uci.edu/~stuaff/ for more information.
